Our Covid Promise Refund Policy
– Updated April 2021
The following approach is being adopted by us during the Covid-19 pandemic and whilst restrictions are in place:
1. For all holidays booked with us with a start date before 31st October 2021 we are making the following promise:
2. A no quibble approach resulting in a refund in the form of a credit voucher for the entirety of your motorhome hire holiday payment. Our Covid-19 Cancellation Policy applies if the UK government imposes restrictions that cause the following:
UK government guidance causes closure of Kerb2Coast in Baldock on the collection date of your hire.
UK government guidance advises a full UK-wide lockdown resulting in a full ban on all non-essential travel over the dates you are due to hire.
UK government guidance advises a lockdown for your home address resulting in a ban on all non-essential travel over the dates you are due to hire.
3. In any of the above circumstances we will in the first instance offer a transfer to an alternative date, in the same or similar VW camper, to be taken no later than 31st October 2022. You may transfer your booking to a higher or lower value season, please note that you will be liable to pay any difference should the value be higher. If you defer to a cheaper season, then you will be credited with the price difference.
4. Please note that any existing or new insurance policy may not cover you for any cancellation related to COVID-19 so we recommend that you take out insurance to cover all other events that may result in your booking being cancelled.
5. Please note that this flexible booking promise is available only in relation to any cancellation that arises directly as a result of one of the scenarios listed above. For all other cancellations our standard terms and conditions apply.
6. Where there is no availability in your previously booked VW campervan or any other on our fleet then we will issue a refund. The booking deposit is non-refundable.
7. While you are away, if any of your party show any symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) you must immediately inform Kerb2Coast Campervan Hire and make arrangements to self-isolate and return to the depot as soon as it is safe to do so (within 24 hours). The vehicle will then undergo a deep clean and sanitisation.
Plaese note in this instance :
All personal possessions must be packed before return and removed upon return.
Any bedding or mattress protectors supplied by us must be removed and placed into a plastic crate provided.
All kitchen equipment must be removed from drawers and cupboards and placed into the container provided to allow easy quarantining.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer partial refunds should a holiday be cut short due to illness, injury or instruction to self-isolate.
12. These terms are a temporary addition to our standard terms and conditions.
Covid-19 has had an impact on everything we do. We’re not going to labour the point here because we think we’d all agree there’s a danger of it becoming all-consuming, but we’d like to outline what we’re doing at Kerb2Coast Campervan Hire to ensure your holiday goes ahead safely.
